Content Description

On December 15, 2021, at 11.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong presided over the workshop’s opening ceremony to prepare the (draft) 5-year government action plan of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. The workshop also prepared for important projects for agencies under the Ministry of Labour to enable personnel in the strategy and work plans of the Ministry of Labour and those involved in the project preparation at both the central and provincial areas to write projects effectively. Furthermore, the Ministry of Labour and the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour have a 5-year government action plan (2023 – 2027) to drive continued operations. The occasion took place at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunam.
Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong said that the Ministry of Labour is one of the main ministries whose mission is to increase the potential of workers and entrepreneurs to cope with changing situations. It aligns with the development and direction of the country to promote employment, protect, and encourage workers to have stability in their work, to have a guarantee and a good quality of life to support the achievement of the national strategy’s goals. It aims to drive the 5-year government action plan, which is currently for 2023-2027. The plan will be reviewed at the ministry level, and the (draft) of the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Labour will take into account the conformity with the changing national development context following the (draft) National Economic and Social Development Plan No. 13, national policies and plans on national security, the 4th National Human Rights Plan, the World Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and driving the country’s development with the BCG economy, for example. All departments under the Ministry of Labour must prepare a plan to provide a framework for the operations at the department level that must be consistent with the ministry-level plan and drive plans using various projects to be packed under.
The workshop was held between December 13-16, 2021. The participants consisted of government officials and officers from agencies under the central Ministry of Labour, amounting to 100 people, and civil servants from agencies under the Ministry of Labour in the provincial areas. The meeting took place via electronic media at the provincial labour office in every province.
