On August 16, 2024, at 10.30 hours, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, chaired the Ministry of Labour’s Royal Kathin Robe Offering Steering Committee Meeting No. 1/2024. The meeting was attended by senior executives, civil servants, and officials of agencies under the Ministry of Labour. The occasion took place at the Prasong Rananant Meeting Room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour.
The meeting acknowledged the order to appoint the committee to oversee the offering of royal Kathin robes by the Ministry of Labour, the schedule of events, basic information about Wat Chaimongkol, preparations, practices regarding royal Kathin robes, and the steps of organizing the royal Kathin robe offering ceremony of the Ministry of Labour. It also considered the request for additional funds for the offering of royal Kathin robes in 2024 from agencies under the Ministry of Labour and the assignment of tasks to relevant agencies.
For this year, the Ministry of Labour is scheduled to present the royal Kathin robes of the Ministry of Labour in 2024 to the monks residing during the Buddhist Lent on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10.00 hours at Wat Chaimongkol, Bo Yang Subdistrict, Mueang Songkhla District, Songkhla Province.
