Permanent Secretary of Labour Commences Seminar to Enhance Integrated Spatial Management Efficiency in 2025

Content Description

On September 22, 2024, at 15.00 hours, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, chaired the opening ceremony of the seminar to increase the efficiency of integrated spatial management in the 2025 fiscal year. The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Santi Nantasuwan, and the Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Kornjirat Phongchansathorn joined in honour. The Director of the Strategy and Planning Division, Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Warunee Langkapin, reported on the objectives of the seminar. Provincial labour officers from all provinces, directors of centers, offices, divisions, and working groups under the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour, totaling 100 people, attended the event at the Panorama Meeting Room, 14th floor, The Emerald Hotel, Ratchadaphisek Road, Din Daeng District, Bangkok.

Mr. Pairoj started by thanking the executives, civil servants, and officers of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour, in both the central and regional parts, for their cooperation. He said that he has received good cooperation from everyone in every department in implementing and driving the work together in an integrated manner, both centrally and regionally, especially in helping people affected by the flood situation in Chiang Rai Province by delivering relief bags from the Ministry of Labour to those affected and organizing projects to help restore the situation once the water recedes.

Mr. Pairoj continued that in the past, the administration and operations of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour had many projects that the central government had allocated budgets for the provincial labour offices to carry out. Some projects were able to integrate target groups, areas, and operating periods simultaneously. However, there was still a lack of clarity regarding the determination of the central government’s operational guidelines for the provinces. This workshop was, therefore, an opportunity for everyone to review the operations, exchange information, share experiences, integrate plans, projects, and activities, and create new approaches, including jointly thinking about which projects or activities of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour could leverage digital technology to increase work efficiency.
“I sincerely hope that this meeting will be beneficial to everyone, drive operations in the same direction, and provide services to the people in the area to the full potential of the agency,” said Mr. Pairoj.
