On May 20, 2022, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, gave a lecture in the education training courses on “Top Executives in Metropolitan Development” (Mahanakhon, Class 9). The course’s objective is to create attitudes, knowledge, and understanding of metropolitan management and development, providing opportunities for personnel from all sectors of society, including the government, the private sector, and various types of organizations, to exchange and learn. The course also presented conclusions in dimensions that can be used to solve problems or develop cities and metropolises, creating knowledge and understanding among senior executives both in public and private sectors in the city administration process of Bangkok. It also creates an understanding of the context and linkages of Bangkok’s management, participation in various dimensions, and sustainable development of cities and metropolises. Regular government officials, city bureaucrats, high-level executives from government agencies, state enterprises, local government organizations, and the private sector attended the training session at the Royal River Hotel, Bang Phlat District, Bangkok.
On this occasion, the Permanent Secretary of Labour participated in a lecture on the population structure, the impact of changes in population structure, labour issues, and guidelines for labour management in the metropolitan region. The lecture focused on accommodating changes in population structure and various critical situations, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
