Permanent Secretary of Labour Hosts First War Room Meeting for Working Group on the Coordination and Assistance Center for Workers Affected by the Earthquake

On March 29, 2025, at 13.00 hours, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, chaired the War Room Meeting of the Coordination and Assistance Center for Workers Affected by the Earthquake No. 1/2025 to determine measures to provide assistance and compensation to workers affected by the earthquake. Mr. Phuchong Worasri, assigned to the Office of the Prime Minister and currently serving at the Ministry of Labour, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Somchai Morakotsriwan, Director-General of the Department of Employment, Lieutenant Commander Saroj Khomkhai, the Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ms. Kanchana Poolkaew, Second Lieutenant Somsak Phromdam, and  Ms. Jirapa Boonrat, Inspector-Generals of the Ministry of Labour, Ms. Nanthinee Sapsiri, Efficiency Advisor, Social Security Office, Mr. Sakdinat Sonthisakyothin, Assistant Permanent Secretary of Labor, along with executives of the Ministry of Labour, and officials from agencies under the Ministry of Labour, attended the meeting at the Coordination and Assistance Center for Workers Affected by the Earthquake, 1st floor, Ministry of Labour Building, and held online. The said meeting provided information about the earthquake situation, the establishment of a coordination center and assistance for workers affected by the earthquake, the damages from the said incident, the initial coordination and assistance for workers, the dissemination of news, the damage report, and assistance of the provinces, and the assistance measures of the agencies under the Ministry of Labour.
