Permanent Secretary of Labour Presides Over the Grand Buddha Consecration Ceremony of the Sacred Objects, Luang Pu Thuat Treading on Seawater, Ministry of Labour 2024

On September 7, 2024, at 09.09 hours, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, assigned the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, to preside over the laity in the grand Buddha consecration ceremony of the Luang Pu Thuat Treading on the Seawater, Ministry of Labour 2024. The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson, Mr. Phumiphat Mueanchan, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon and Mr. Somphon Kwangkaew, the Ministry of Labour’s executives, heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Maha Sarakham Province and local Buddhists joined the ceremony at the golden teakwood chapel of Wat Phutthawanaram (Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen), Koeng Subdistrict, Mueang Maha Sarakham District, Maha Sarakham Province.

Mr. Pairoj said that the Ministry of Labour, by the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, has a policy to promote employment for all Thai workers to create careers and provide stable income, which is one of the goals of Thai workers, which is to work abroad. The Ministry of Labour aims to promote the quality of working life of Thai workers to be accepted by many countries in order to drive the Thai economy sustainably.

“The sacred objects of Luang Pu Thuat, walking on fresh seawater, a souvenir of the Ministry of Labour 2024, totaling 84,000 items, is the idea of the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, who cares about Thai workers abroad and wants to build morale and encouragement for them in working in a situation where they are in a different country, away from their families, in order to create benefits and bring money back to their home country,” said Mr. Pairoj.

Mr. Pairoj continued that the grand Buddha consecration ceremony of the Luang Pu Thuat Treading on the Seawater, Ministry of Labour 2024, this time received good cooperation from all sectors. Most importantly, he thanked Phra Wachirayanawisit (Suriyan Kosapanyo), Assistant Abbot of Wat Mahachaiwanaram (Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen), Maha Sarakham Province, for supporting the occasion. This will be something that will help the minds of Thai workers to work abroad and achieve tangible results.
