On November 30, 2021, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong visited Tak Province to prepare to import foreigners to work with employers in the Kingdom, following the MoU process. He met with Deputy Governor of Tak and Acting Governor of Tak Province Mr. Somchai Kitcharoenrungroj to discuss government matters in preparation. The discussion took place at the Tak Provincial Governor’s Working Room. They also visited the second Mae Sot border checkpoint. The Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General, Mr. Orathep Intarasakul, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Tak Province participated in field visits at Mae Sot District, Tak Province.
Mr. Boonchob said that today, he visited Tak Province to discuss government matters in preparation for importing foreign workers with the Deputy Governor of Tak Province. He then traveled to the second Mae Sot border checkpoint, which will be the primary worker screening facility following the process of bringing in migrant workers to work with domestic employers, according to the MoU process. He asked that all employers strictly follow all eight steps to jointly reduce the problem of illegal immigration, prevent human trafficking and the spread of COVID-19.

The hotline provides Cambodian, Myanmar, and English interpreters to recommend next steps,” concluded the Permanent Secretary of Labour.
