On January 10, 2020, at 09.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol welcomed Deputy Director-General of the Department of Disease Control Dr. Kajornsak Kaewcharat and committee, to discuss ways to cooperate in implementing a project to support the full access to smoking cessation services and systems for insured persons. The meeting took place at the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s office, 7th floor, Ministry of Labour. The project was established to develop a model for smoking cessation services and promote access to services to help insured people stop smoking and the use of drugs to help quit smoking for further effectiveness. The project aims to reduce the number of smokers and the morbidity rate of labour in the country.
