Permanent Secretary of Labour Welcomes the Public Sector Excellence Award Evaluation Committee in Public Sector Management Quality for 2024 of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour

          On July 3, 2024, at 09.00 hours, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, welcomed the Public Sector Excellence Award Evaluation Committee in the Public Sector Management Quality Branch for 2024, category four on organizational performance analysis and knowledge management of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. The committee was led by the Chairperson of the Evaluation Committee, Mrs. Methini Thepmanee, together with the Evaluation Committee Member, Mr. Chainarong Chochai, and the Evaluation Committee Member from the OPDC, Mrs. Kittiya Kamphi. The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Lieutenant Saroj Komkhai, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, and the Academic Labour Advisor, Mrs. Napasorn Toongsooksai, attended the meeting. Government officials and officials of agencies under the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour joined in giving a welcome.
          Mr. Pairoj said that today, he was pleased and honoured that the Evaluation Committee came to inspect the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. The Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour places great importance on public sector management, especially with the development of information systems. This will lead to the formulation of policies that meet the needs of the people, conform to public sector management quality standards, and aim to become a bureaucracy. He said that he sincerely hoped that all inspectors would kindly provide recommendations on essential issues to help develop the organization towards excellence in every aspect.
          The Permanent Secretary of Labour assigned the Academic Labour Advisor, Mrs. Napasorn Toongsooksai, to present the operational achievements of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. The results reflect the success of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour, highlighting essential works such as the development of a system to increase the potential of extensive data analysis in the labour sector and assisting Thai workers in Israel to develop standard operating procedures (SOP) for preliminary screening of forced labour. In addition, future development guidelines were also presented to establish the quality of life of independent workers and support the Independent Labour Promotion and Protection Act B.E…..
          Before the meeting, the Permanent Secretary of Labour led the Evaluation Committee to view exhibits showcasing the performance of agencies under the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour in front of the Prasong Rananant meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour.
