Permanent Secretary of MOL and high-level administrators of MOL paid an official visit to Japan between 4-7 April 2014.

During 4-17 April 2014, Permanent Secretary of MOL (Mr. Jirasak Sukontachat), Director General of Department of Skill Development (Mr. Nakorn Silpa-Archa), Director-General of Employment (Mr. Pravit Kiengphol), high-level administrator of MOL and the group paid an official visit to Japan as an invitation of IM Japan for a selection, internship and Thai workers internship in Japan.
 
The group paid a courtesy visit to Tokyo (Mr. Tanatip Upatsarong) for discussing and hearing the situation of Thai workers, and employment condition of labours and trainees in Japan. In this regard, Mrs. Chantana Boon-arj, Minister Counsellor (labour affairs) represented by Secretary of Office of Social Security (Mr. Ummorn Chawalit) and the group also paid a visit as well.
 
The group and IM Japan administrator attended the meeting to discuss on how to improve public relation on application, selection and internship as well as a preparation for expanding internship period. It is anticipated that Japan government would temporary relent in some fields such as construction in order to support being an Olympic host in Tokyo in 2563.
On 6 April 2014, the group went to Shizuoka to join the assembly of Thai trainee who came to be technical trained in Shizuoka at Hamamatsu Arena. There were 83 Thais participated in the event. Permanent Secretary of MOL, Director-General of Department of Employment and Director of Skill Development sermonized to Thai trainees which brought them felicity.
