Content Description

On March 30, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, as Head of the Thailand team, with the Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathian and delegation, to meet and encourage Thai workers working at Centara Mirage Beach Resort, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this hotel, 59 Thai workers work in various positions such as Front Office, Waiter/Waitress, HR, and Spa Therapists. The Labour Department of the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi met with the company to expand the labour market. The hotel requires 25 Thai workers to be recruited directly into different positions. The vacancies include 14 Waiter/Waitress positions with a monthly salary of 1,350 Dirham, 2 Restaurant Supervisors with a monthly salary of 2,500 Dirham, 2 Bartenders with a monthly salary of 1,800-1,900 Dirham, 1-2 Commis 1/Commis 2/Commis 3 positions with a monthly salary of 1,800/1,600/1,400 Dirham respectively. The positions require 1-2 years of experience, a passion for service work, and the ability to work under pressure. Those interested can email their resume and a photo of themselves to jamornpansi@chr.co.th or careercdd@outlook.com. Following the UAE labour law, employees will receive other benefits such as free accommodation, meals, and transportation.
“In this trip to the United Arab Emirates, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart will attend the 8th World Government Summit with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow’s delegation, which he is leading. Thus, I was assigned to speak with the Thai workers who traveled from home to work abroad and ask about their well-being. I also encouraged them and shared the care and concern of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, and Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, including the Ministry of Labour’s executives. They emphasized that we meet all Thai workers personally,” concluded Mrs. Thienrat.
The Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathian, said that the United Arab Emirates employer wishes to hire Thai workers using direct employment for the positions mentioned above. Centara Mirage Beach Resort is a Thai brand hotel and currently employs almost 60 Thai workers. The hotel is still reporting the need for almost 25 more Thai workers. It is a good opportunity for Thai workers to legally work abroad with a Thai brand hotel in a foreign country. The Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, has also publicized through many channels in Thailand to promote skilled Thai workers to take work opportunities abroad to bring back experiences and income to Thailand.
