The Labour Minister met Thai workers on technical training in Japan and prepared to study models of organizations on safety management, elderly employment systems, supporting employment for women, people with disabilities and organizing childcare facilities.
On March 29, 2019, Labour Minister, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo and the Ministry of Labour’s executive committee traveled to meet, inspect, and give words of encouragement to Thai workers on technical training at Exedy Taiyo, in Nayagawa, Osaka, Japan. The deployment of Thai workers for technical training has the objective to allow the workers to learn and practice technical and other skills from Japan and apply them when returning to Thailand. It also raises the level of Thai workers to international standards and supports international cooperation. The deployment of Thai workers on technical training in Japan follows the collaboration between the Thai Ministry of Labour and Japanese counterparts which include the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, which have ratified the Memorandum of Cooperation on technical training together.
The Labour Minister visited Thai workers on technical training at Exedy Taiyo and gave words of encouragement. The company is an operator of manual clutches, torque converters (for automatic transmission), industrial and construction machinery, and clutch kits for motorcycles for example. The training will enable Thai workers to experience technical training and its application, along with raising the Thai industrial sector further.
On this occasion, Pol.Gen. Adul congratulated the Thai workers and gave a testimony saying, “Everyone is an important force of the country and a representative of Thailand. I ask that you have discipline, determination to work hard, have sacrifices and frugality, develop technical and language skills, comply with Japanese laws and culture and maintain a healthy body, staying away from drugs, intoxication, gambling and vices. Use the opportunity to gather knowledge and work experience to further your career when returning to Thailand, and plan where you can expect to be a manager in the future.”
The Labour Minister and committee studied the management of occupational safety, health and environment, elderly employment systems, women employment support (production lines for women), employment of people with disabilities who are mentally disabled but able to work as well as normal people (Exedy Sun), the child care center (A Kiddy Land) of Exedy Taiyo. The committee then traveled to study the places for learning for children who are children of employees in the workplace (ChilDren’s Centers for Early Childhood Development) and teaching on safety/safety networks at Neyagawa city. The visiting committee was welcomed by Neyagawa Mayor too.
