The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General and spokesperson Mr. Ananchai Uthaipatanacheep revealed that this 9 June, Deputy Prime Minister Admiral Narong Pipatanasai will chair the opening of the Samut Sakhon Community Center in Ta Cheen, alongside Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security’s Minister Pol.Gen. Adul Sangsingkeo and the Ministry of Interior’s Deputy Minister Mr. Soothi Makboon. The center was a collaboration between the 3 ministries to manage foreign workers in Samut Sakhon. The visiting committee then observed various activities within the local area.
Mr. Ananchai said that Samut Sakhon has been a model in foreign worker zoning. He said that the center was established in Ta Cheen to assist migrant workers and will be expanded to other provinces with over 50,000 migrant workers in population.
