Preparations Made for 21st Century Workforce

            On 17 March 2017 at 13.30, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonlert Teeratrakul chaired the meeting with the reform, strategy and national reconciliation coordinators to consult ministerial directions on people development for the 21st century. The meeting took place at the Pakorn Angsusingh Conference Room on the 10th floor of the Department of Skills Development. The meeting aimed to align understanding among relevant units to form an action plan which will align the workforce with true labour demands in the 10 targeted industries. Plans for the 21st century workforce development is categorized into 6 groups including children before birth until the end of high school, vocational and university students, the working population, the senior population, agriculturists, and researchers. Permanent secretaries from each relevant ministry will meet to give consensus this 24 of March. The outcome is expected to be presented to the Prime Minister within this April.
