Riders Happy for Labour Minister’s Donation of Rice and COVID Test Kits to Alleviate Living Expenses

           On March 25, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin presided over the presentation of 1,000 kits of rice and Antigen Test Kits to Mr. Pornthep Chatchawalomornkul, President of the Riders Association of Thailand, along with Mr. Santi Patipanarat, Secretariat of the Motorcycle Taxi Drivers Association of Thailand and 200 riders. The Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office performing duties for the Ministry of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives, also joined in the handover at the front area, the first floor, Ministry of Labour.
           Mr. Suchart added that from the Ukrainian-Russia conflict and the COVID-19 situation, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labor, supervised by Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, is concerned for the people and workforce. Therefore, each agency was tasked to set urgent measures to alleviate the suffering and help the people.
           Today, the Ministry of Labour donated 5kg of rice and 1,000 COVID-19 testing kits to the riders. This is another way to help each other in times of trouble and to alleviate the burden of daily expenses.
           Mr. Pornthep Chatchawalomornkul, President of the Riders Association of Thailand, said that he and his fellow riders were very happy today. They thanked the Prime Minister and Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, for seeing the importance and suffering of riders, as they were impacted by COVID-19 previously. The rice and the COVID test kits are an important part of boosting morale and help to alleviate the suffering for our families to overcome the situation.
