On 18 June 2011, Office of Labour Affairs in Malaysia in collaboration with Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, leading by Ambassador went to hold general election outside the kingdom at Jahor Bahru.

Jahor Bahru is the capital city of Johor in southern Malaysia. There are a huge number of Thai people settle and work in this city. Most of them work at industrial plant, instant food processing plant, Thai restaurant and massage sp. The election was held at Thai Tom Yam Restaurant. Thai workers from Jahor Bahru and neighboring cities incessantly came to exercise their rights from the early morning until ballot box was closed.
