On Saturday 31st July 2010, the Office of Labour Affairs in Malaysia together with the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and Thai Student Club in Malaysia organized a seminar on “The Guidance Ways to the Future”. It aimed to provide career guidance to both bachelor and master degrees Thai students who are about to graduate from universities in Malaysia so that they are informed about work opportunities in both Malaysia and Thailand. This was also to provide them knowledge to get them ready to find jobs. In this way, it invited experts from both government and private sectors to provide lectures in different topics. The seminar was held at the International Islamic University’s conference hall, Kuala Lumpur.
In this way, the Thai Ambassador to Malaysia (H.E. Mr. Thana Duangratana) gave his honor to preside over the opening ceremony of the Seminar as he was welcomed by the Chancellor of the International Islamic University (IIUM) who attended and listened to the seminar during the whole morning. The seminar saw 200 participants who were students from 8 universities, (1) 80 students from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), (2) 45 students from Kolej University Insaniah (KUN), (3) 30 students from University Utara Malaysia, (4) 15 students from University Technology Petronas (UTP), (5) 10 students from University Sains Malaysia (USM), (6) 10 students from Multimedia University (MMU), (7) 5 students from University Malaya (UM), and (8) 5 students from Kolej University Islamic Salangor.
