The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General and spokesperson Mr. Ananchai Uthaipatanacheep have a press briefing on the ministry’s assistance measures provide to flood victims. He said that Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul was concerned for the flood victims in the Northeastern region and has thus assigned all affiliated units to provide assistive measures which include a shelter at provincial skills development centers in all affected provinces which will provide food and drink to the publics. After the flooding subsides, the Department of Skills Development will help restore damaged households and appliances for free, and will also train the people how to fix electrical appliances, motorbikes, cares and agricultural tools which have been damaged by the water.
Mr. Ananchai concluded that organizations, employers, employee, agriculturists and members of the general public who are interested can contact any of the ministry’s affiliated units for assistance.
