The Department of Employment has established a fund to assist job seekers to work abroad in accordance with the Employment and Employment Protection Act 1985, with the primary objective of helping job seekers who are abandoned abroad to return. Thailand provides assistance to Thai workers who go to or work in foreign countries or the heirs of the fund members. Those who are eligible to apply for membership are job seekers who are traveling to work overseas by the employment agency or the Department of Employment. Job seekers who are self-employed can apply for membership. Voluntary Members pay at the rate of 300-500 baht per person, based on the rate of the country of work. Pay only once, but coverage throughout the contract period. If you are working abroad, you will be protected for another 5 years. In many cases, such as being abandoned abroad, you will be able to return to Thailand, in case of disability or in case of emergency, before and after work, medical expenses or experiencing problems abroad as required by law. The allowance is for transportation, accommodation, meals, medical expenses, and other necessary expenses. They will receive no more than 30,000 baht. In case of death abroad, the victim will receive 40,000 baht and the funeral expenses will not exceed 40,000 baht.
