At present , Article15 of Taiwan Work Life Balance indicated that male employer has rights to take parental leave for 3 days with wage payment. However, Member of House of Representatives both government and opposition mutually agreed that it was not sufficient for parents and approved on increasing parental leaves to 5 days or 7 days.

楊瓊瓔, Member of House of Representatives of KMT revealed that Laws regarding Work Life Balance in Singapore and Philippine Law allows 7 days of parental leaves, law of Belgium and Sweden allows10 days, France and UK allows 14 days and Portuguese Law allows 30 days. While Norway work-life balance law allows 10 weeks for parental leave. Hence, to promote people demand in having children, it need to allow parents to take leave to take care of their children by increasing days for parental leave for father.
