More than 500 Thai labourers and people living in Taiwan participated in sports competition on August 12, 2012 to celebrate the Mother’s Day at a school sport stadium in Nanzi’s Kaoshiung city.

 

 

More than 500 Thai labourers and people living in Taiwan participated in sports competition on August 12, 2012 to celebrate the Mother’s Day at a school sport stadium in Nanzi’s Kaoshiung city.

 

Mr. Kwanta Mongoneratana, Minister Counsellor (Labour Affairs), preside over the candlelit ceremony and delivering the speech honouring Her Majesty the Queen who celebrated 80th birthday on August 12, 2012. She also declared the starting of sports competition on the occasion which was marked the Mother’s Day. Several Thai couples living in Taiwan also danced to celebrate the auspicious occasion.

 

Three cup prizes were given to winners in each sport category. The first winner also received 5,000 Taiwanese dollars while the first runner-up received 3,000 Taiwanese dollars and the second runner-up 2,000. Eight teams joined the men’s football competition, namely Thai Zo, Moddaeng Music, Wan Ji, Ta Fha, Hlearn U, Naraesuan, Ping Tung, Siew Kang. The Wan Ji team captured the first prize while the Siew Kang and the Naraesuan team were the first and second runner-up respectively.

 

In women’s volleyball race, the Ing Mao team won the first place while the Hor Doo Dao B team and the KOA team clinched the first and the second runner-up places respectively. In the Ta Kraw competition, the Camp Nua team won first while the Long Jong and the Tai So team captured the first and the second runner-up respectively.

 

The atmosphere during the competition was friendly and filled with joy. Besides people who cheered their loving teams, Thai families living in Taiwan participated in the memorable event.
