Mr. Ananchai Uthaiwattanachep, Executive Director of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare, said that after the meeting of the International Women’s Day 2018, No. 1/2017, the Ministry of Labor held the annual International Women’s Day to campaign for all sectors of society to realize the importance of female workers. Collaboration to help protect women’s work is worthwhile and values the work of women. This year, the International Women’s Day will be held under the theme “The Labor Force of Thai Women Stepping into the digital economy ” on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Vibhavadee Rangsit Road, Bangkok, Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsavali presided over the opening ceremony and presented the plaques to the outstanding women.
Mr. Ananchai went on to say, the board has convened to determine the format and guidelines for the International Women’s Day in 2018. This year’s Women’s Choice Awards will focus on women working in the digital economy in line with the current era, it has appointed a subcommittee to select the best female candidates for the year 2018 and eight other working groups to determine the category of outstanding women in the year 2018 and to find qualified candidates to prepare for such a task.
