Labour Minister Orders DOE to Investigate and Coordinate with Companies to Correct Information on Thaimeengarntum.com Platform

          The Labour Minister ordered the Department of Employment to check and correct the information on available jobs and pay rates inflated. Recently, the Department of Employment found inaccuracies caused by companies typing in the wrong numbers, which they have coordinated with to correct the information.
          On October 4, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the facts from online media, which published information about job postings on the Thaimeengarntum.com platform, where the number of vacancies and pay rates that were higher than the reality. The Labour Minister has ordered the Department of Employment to investigate the facts. It was found that there was inaccurate information recorded by three companies. The Department of Employment has coordinated with the companies and found that it was caused by inaccurate information input. The companies have been ordered to correct the information.
          Mr. Suchart continued that each Provincial Employment Office and the Director-General of the Bangkok Employment Office Area 1-10 have been ordered to verify employment information, vacancies, and companies’ pay rates in their respective areas. If the information is incorrect, the offices must immediately notify the employer of the establishment to continue to correct the information.
          “The Ministry of Labour’s Department of Employment created the Thaimeengarntum.com platform to collect information on employment and training courses for the general public to find information on job openings. The platform is designed to match jobs to people in the area, to roles that suit the job applicant’s knowledge, ability, work experiences, or skill. Those interested can find job vacancies at the Thaimeengarntum.com platform,” said Mr. Suchart.
