Content Description

The Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, reported that he, along with the Permanent Secretary of Labour, the Director-General, and executives of the Ministry of Labour, visited the area with the heads of government agencies in the provinces, the government sector, the private sector, and volunteers to deliver relief bags from the Ministry of Labour. They have also deployed a team of technicians to repair and restore flood relief efforts in Chiang Rai Province.

In terms of alleviating occupational hardship of the Ministry of Labour in the 2025 fiscal year, there are five provincial labour offices in Chiang Rai, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, and Sukhothai that have proposed a project to solve occupational hardship. In Chiang Rai Province, there is an area where the water level has receded, but there is still a lot of mud left in residences, workplaces, and shops. The Ministry of Labour will, therefore, urgently hire 400 people to help clear the mud within five days so that people can return to their residences and continue their regular jobs.

The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, said that this project to solve occupational hardship can help with public benefits such as constructing renovations, repairs, and cleaning of workplaces damaged by natural disasters. When the water level in each area has receded and is undergoing restoration, the project can be implemented immediately to alleviate occupational hardship and income caused by disasters and public disasters and to provide temporary employment and income to the unemployed.
