On April 14, 2013, Mr. Visa Khanthub, Vice Minister of Labour, along with Mrs. Paichit Aksornnarong and Mr. Prasobchai Yuwaves, Advisors to Vice Minister of Labour, and other officials travelled to Taipei to join the annual Songkran celebration, which was jointly organized by Office of Labour Affairs in Taiwan (Section 2 Taipei) and Taoyuan Municipality and the Council of Labour Affairs (CLA) at Taoyuan’s stadium.

At 9 am local time, there was alms-giving ceremony to nine monks, Buddha-image procession accompanied by drumming.
At the opening ceremony, vice Minister of Labour read out a well-wishing letter from Mr. Phadermchai Sasomsub, Minister of Labour, to 20,000 participants and gave gifts and honor shields to 21 outstanding employers. The ceremony was also attended by Taoyuan governor, director of Thailand Trade and Economic Office, director of CLA’s department of skill training and employment, and commander of Immigration Office.
Then there was a Lod Num Dum Hua ceremony, Saban-nga dancing performance and performance by Mrs. Paichit Aksornnarong. Several Thai perform onstage singing during the celebration including Sunaree Ratchasima and Ekkarat Suvarnabhumi. The celebration ended at 4.30 pm. The ceremony was hit by heavy rain.
