วันที่ 28 กันยายน 2566 เวลา 08.00 น. นายบุญชอบ สุทธมนัสวงษ์ ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานจัดกิจกรรมเคารพธงชาติและร้องเพลงชาติไทย เนื่องในวันพระราชทานธงชาติไทย (Thai National Flag Day) ประจำปี 2566 พร้อมด้วย นายประทีป ทรงลำยอง รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน นายวรรณรัตน์ ศรีสุขใส รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน และคณะผู้บริหารระดับสูงสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงาน เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้ ณ บริเวณเสาธงชาติหน้าอาคาร Smart Job Center กระทรวงแรงงาน
ทั้งนี้ วันพระราชทานธงชาติไทย ธงชาติถือเป็นสัญลักษณ์อันสูงสุดของชาติ ธงชาติไทยแต่เดิมมีหลายรูปแบบ จนรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 6 ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อม ให้ตราพระราชบัญญัติธงขึ้นใหม่ในพุทธศักราช 2460 และพระองค์ทรงกำหนดความหมายของสีธงชาติไว้ว่า สีแดง หมายถึง ชาติ คือประชาชน สีขาว หมายถึง ศาสนา และสีน้ำเงิน หมายถึง พระมหาก ษัตริย์ ซึ่งธงไตรรงค์ หรือธงชาติไทย ถือเป็นสัญลักษณ์อันสูงสุดของชาติ เป็นสิ่งเตือนใจให้อนุชนได้รำลึกถึงการเสียสละเลือดเนื้อของบรรพบุรุษ เพื่อรักษาไว้ซึ่งแผ่นดิน และร้อยดวงใจคนทั้งชาติให้เป็นหนึ่ง หล่อหลอมความรักสามัคคี สร้างเสริมความภูมิใจในความเป็นชาติ ก่อเกิดเป็นพลังยิ่งใหญ่ในการพัฒนาชาติไทย
On September 28, 2023, at 08.00 hours, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, chaired the event to honour the national flag and sing the Thai national anthem on Thai National Flag Day 2023. The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, and senior executives under the Ministry of Labour participated in the activity at the flagpole area in front of the Smart Job Center building, Ministry of Labour.
The Thai national flag is considered the highest symbol of the nation. The Thai flag had many forms in the past until the reign of His Majesty King Rama VI. His Majesty the King graciously ordered a new Flag Act enacted in 1917. His Majesty determined the meaning of the colours of the national flag, where red means the nation and the people, white means religion, and blue represents the King. The tricolour flag, or the Thai flag, is considered the highest symbol of the country. It is a reminder for the youths to remember the sacrifice of their ancestors in preserving the land and uniting the hearts of the entire nation, forging love and unity, promoting pride in being a country, and creating a great power in the development of the Thai nation.
