วันที่ 7 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 เวลา 15.30 น. นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ให้การต้อนรับ นายอับดุลเราะห์มาน อับดุลอะซีซ อัลซุฮัยบานี (H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulaziz Alsuhaibanni) เอกอัครราชทูตวิสามัญผู้มีอำนาจเต็มแห่งราชอาณาจักร ซาอุดีอาระเบียประจำประเทศไทย ในโอกาสเข้าพบเพื่อหารือ ด้านการจัดส่งแรงงานไทยไปทำงานที่ประเทศซาอุดีอาระเบีย โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มแรงงานที่มีทักษะฝีมือ โดยมี นายธนัสถ์ ทวีเกื้อกูลกิจ ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน นายอารี ไกรนรา เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน นายสมาสภ์ ปัทมะสุคนธ์ ผู้ตรวจราชการกระทรวงแรงงาน และผู้บริหารระดับสูงของกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ ณ ห้องจัตุมงคล ชั้น 6 อาคารกระทรวงแรงงาน
นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวว่า ในวันนี้ผมพร้อมด้วยผู้บริหารกระทรวงแรงงานยินดีเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ได้มีโอกาสต้อนรับท่านอับดุลเราะห์มาน อับดุลอะซีซ อัลซุฮัยบานี เอกอัครราชทูตวิสามัญผู้มีอำนาจเต็มแห่งราชอาณาจักร ซาอุดีอาระเบียประจำประเทศไทย นับตั้งแต่ไทยและซาอุดีอาระเบียได้ฟื้นฟูความสัมพันธ์เมื่อวันที่ 25 มกราคม 2565 ผมมีความยินดีที่ได้เห็นโอกาสเกิดขึ้นมากมายสำหรับนักลงทุนทั้งไทยและซาอุดีอาระเบีย รวมถึงโอกาสให้แรงงานไทยได้เดินทางไปทำงานในซาอุดีอาระเบีย ซึ่งปัจจุบัน มีแรงงานไทยยังน้อย ที่ทำงานอยู่ในประเทศซาอุดีอาระเบีย ประมาณ 218 คน และขอให้ทางสถานทูตช่วยประสานรัฐบาลฯในการดูแล อำนวยความสะดวก สิทธิและสวัสดิการ ความปลอดภัย สำหรับแรงงานทุกกลุ่มที่ประสงค์จะเดินทางไปทำงานทั้งที่อยู่ในซาอุดีอาระเบียตอนนี้และในอนาคต เพื่อดูแล คุ้มครองแรงงานอย่างใกล้ชิด มีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี ซึ่งจากการหารือในวันนี้ กระทรวงแรงงานพร้อมสนับสนุนให้แรงงานไทยเดินทางไปทำงานในซาอุดีอาระเบียมากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะแรงงานไทยที่มีค่าจ้างสูงคามทักษะฝีมือ รวมถึงการฝึกอบรม ซึ่งทางกระทรวงแรงงานพร้อมสนับสนุนและประสานงานให้อย่างเต็มที่
ด้าน นายอับดุลเราะห์มาน อับดุลอะซีซ อัลซุฮัยบานี เอกอัครราชทูตวิสามัญผู้มีอำนาจเต็มแห่งราชอาณาจักร ซาอุดีอาระเบียประจำประเทศไทย กล่าวว่า ในวันนี้ขอขอบคุณท่านรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงานของไทยเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่เปิดโอกาสให้เข้าพบและหารือถึงความคืบหน้าการดำเนินการตามความตกลงด้านแรงงาน แรงงานไทยได้รับการยอมรับจากนานาประเทศในด้านทักษะฝีมือและความเชี่ยวชาญในสาขาอาชีพต่าง ๆ อย่างภาคบริการสายการบิน ช่างฝีมือ พ่อครัว ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านป่าไม้และการเกษตร และยินดีสนับสนุนช่วยเหลือ เกี่ยวกับกิจการด้านแรงงานเช่นกัน
On February 7, 2024, at 15.30 hours, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Thailand, H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulaziz Alsuhaibanni, on the occasion of a meeting to discuss the sending of Thai workers to work in Saudi Arabia, especially skilled workers. The Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mr. Thanat Thaweekueakulkit, the Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Aree Krainara, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives joined the welcome at the Chatumongkol Room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour.
The Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, said that today, he and the Ministry of Labour’s executives were pleased to have the opportunity to welcome Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia in Thailand, H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulaziz Alsuhaibanni. Since Thailand and Saudi Arabia restored relations on January 25, 2022, he was pleased to see many opportunities emerging for both Thai and Saudi Arabian investors, including opportunities for Thai workers to work in Saudi Arabia. At present, approximately 218 Thai people are working in Saudi Arabia only. He has asked the embassy to help coordinate with the government to take care of them, to facilitate their rights, welfare, and safety for all groups of workers who wish to travel to work in Saudi Arabia now and in the future, and to closely monitor and protect workers to have a good quality of life. From today’s discussion, the Ministry of Labour is ready to encourage more Thai workers to travel to work in Saudi Arabia, especially Thai workers who have high wages and skills. The Ministry of Labour is also ready to fully support and coordinate with training initiatives.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia in Thailand, H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulaziz Alsuhaibanni, said that today, he thanked the Thai Labour Minister for the opportunity to meet and discuss the progress of the implementation of the labour agreement. Thai workers are internationally recognized for their skills and expertise in careers such as the airline service sector, craftsmen, chefs, forestry, and agricultural experts. He said he was happy to support labour affairs as well.
