วันที่ 13 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เปิดเผยถึงความคืบหน้าล่าสุดในการให้ความช่วยเหลือแรงงานไทยที่กลับจากอิสราเอลที่มายื่นคำร้องเพื่อขอรับเงินเยียวยาแรงงานไทยจากสถานการณ์ความไม่สงบในอิสราเอล รายละ 50,000 บาท ว่า ขณะนี้ กระทรวงแรงงานได้เร่งดำเนินการจ่ายเงินเยียวยาฯให้ผู้มีสิทธิฯ อย่างต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งจนถึงวันนี้ (13 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567) รวมจำนวน 33 วัน กระทรวงแรงงานได้โอนเงินเข้าบัญชีให้ผู้มีสิทธิหรือทายาทของแรงงานแล้ว จำนวน 5,820 ราย คิดเป็นจำนวนเงิน 291,000,000 บาท หรือคิดเป็นจำนวนเกือบ 70 % ซึ่งคาดว่าจะดำเนินการแล้วเสร็จไม่เกินเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2567 นี้ได้อย่างแน่นอน
ด้าน นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า ในด้านกระบวนการนั้น เจ้าหน้าที่กระทรวงแรงงานเร่งดำเนินการอย่างเต็มที่ และดำเนินการทันที เพื่อให้พี่น้องแรงงานที่กลับจากอิสราเอลได้รับเงินเยียวยา 50,000 บาทโดยเร็วที่สุด ส่วนหนึ่งที่ยังไม่ได้รับเงินเนื่องจากบางรายเอกสารไม่สมบูรณ์ ยังไม่ได้เซ็นในเอกสาร จึงมีการส่งกลับไปให้แก้ไข และส่วนที่ไม่ผ่านการพิจารณานั้น เนื่องจาก เป็นผู้ที่กลับมาก่อนวันที่ 7 ตุลาคม 2566 และไม่ใช่วีซ่า Re-Entry ซึ่งไม่อยู่ในกลุ่มเป้าหมาย
ในส่วนของ สถานการณ์การให้ความช่วยเหลือพี่น้องแรงงานไทย นั้น มีแรงงานเดินทางกลับไทยแล้ว 10,101 ราย ยื่นคำร้องกับกระทรวงแรงงานทั้งหมด 9,067 ราย จำแนกเป็น ยื่นด้วยตนเอง 8,997 ราย ทายาทยื่นในกรณีการเสียชีวิต 32 ราย
On February 13, 2024, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, spoke about the latest progress in assisting Thai workers returning from Israel who applied to receive compensation for the unrest in Israel, amounting to 50,000 Baht each. He said that the Ministry of Labour has now expedited the process of paying compensation to those who are eligible. As of today (February 13, 2024), a total of 33 days, the Ministry of Labour has transferred money into the accounts of 5,820 eligible persons or workers’ dependents, totaling 291,000,000 Baht, accounting for almost 70 percent of eligible workers. The payments are expected to continue, and completion is slated for February 2024.
The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Phairoj Chotikasatian, said that in terms of the process, the Ministry of Labour’s officials have taken immediate action so that fellow workers returning from Israel will receive 50,000 Baht in compensation as soon as possible. Part of the compensation has not been received yet as some documents are incomplete, have not been signed, or sent back for correction. Those that have not been considered are because they returned before October 7, 2023, and are not Re-Entry visas, which is not in the target group.
As for supporting Thai workers, 10,101 workers have returned to Thailand. A total of 9,067 applications have been filed with the Ministry of Labour, comprising 8,997 filed by themselves and 32 filed by workers’ dependents in the case of death.
