วันที่ 17 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน มอบหมายให้ นายวรรณรัตน์ ศรีสุขใส รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานมอบโล่เกียรติคุณ พร้อมใบประกาศเกียรติคุณ ให้แก่นักกีฬา ผู้ฝึกสอน ที่ทำชื่อเสี่ยงให้กับประเทศชาติ ในงานวันกีฬาคนหูหนวกสู่ความเป็นเลิศ ประเทศไทย ประจำปี 2567 รวมกับ ดร.วนิดา พันธ์สะอาด รองปลัดกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา ณ ห้องประชุมโรงเรียนวัดรางบัว แขวงบางหว้า เขตภาษีเจริญ กรุงเทพมหานคร
สำหรับกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้สมาคมกีฬาคนหูหนวกไทยจัดกิจกรรมงานในวันกีฬาคนหูหนวก สู่ความเป็นเลิศประเทศไทย ประจำปี 2567 ขึ้น พร้อมเชิญชวนให้บรรดาคนหูหนวกและคนทั่วไปร่วมกันจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ เพื่อส่งเสริมความเข้าใจของสังคมเกี่ยวข้องกับคนพิการทางการได้ยิน และให้โอกาสคนพิการได้มีส่วนร่วมในทุกกิจกรรมของสังคมอย่างสร้างสรรค์ เป็นธรรม โดยประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศสมาชิกสหพันธ์กีฬาคนหูหนวกอาเซียน จึงได้จัดกิจกรรมวันกีฬาแห่งชาติขึ้นในทุกปี เพื่อเป็นวันคนพิการสากลอย่างทั่วถึง เสมอภาค เท่าเทียม และสอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์ขององค์กรกีฬา ทั้งนี้ประเทศไทยได้ส่งนักกีฬาคนหูหนวกเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันกีฬาคนหูหนวกซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 1 ประจำปี 2565 1″ SEA DEAF GAMES 2022″ ณ ประเทศมาเลเซีย โดยได้รับเหรีญญรางวัลทั้งหมด 5 รางวัล ได้แก่ ฟุตซอลหญิง 1 เหรียญทอง วิ่งสี่คูณร้อยชาย 1 เหรียญเงิน ฟุตซอลชาย 1 เหรียญทองแดง และแบดมินตัน 2 เหรียญทองแดง
นายวรรณรัตน์ กล่าวว่า ในโอกาสนี้ ผมขอให้นักกีฬาทุกคน มันฝึกฝนตนเอง ตลอดจนปฏิบัติกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่เป็นประโยชน์ ให้เกิดทักษะและประสบการณ์ เพื่อนำความรู้ไปใช้ในการดำรงชีวิต อย่างมีความสุข และเป็นพลังส่วนหนึ่ง ที่ร่วมขับเคลื่อน พัฒนา เศรษฐกิจของประเทศไทยให้เจริญรุ่งเรืองต่อไป
On February 17, 2024, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Phairoj Chotikasatian, assigned the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, as chairman of the award ceremony for certificates of honour for athletes and coaches who built recognition to the country at the Deaf Sports Day for Excellence Thailand 2024. The Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Dr. Wanida Pansa-ard, also joined the occasion at the meeting room of Wat Rang Bua School, Bang Wa Subdistrict, Phasi Charoen District, Bangkok.
The Thai Sports Association for the Deaf organized the activities for the Deaf Sports Day for Excellence Thailand 2024 and invited all deaf people and the general public to jointly organize different activities to promote society’s understanding of people with hearing disabilities and to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in all social activities creatively and fairly. Thailand is a member country of the ASEAN Sports Federation for the Deaf. Therefore, National Sports Day activities are organized every year to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in an equitable way that is in line with the objectives of the sports organizations. Thailand sent deaf athletes to participate in the 1st “SEA DEAF GAMES 2022″ in Malaysia. They won a total of 5 medals, including a gold medal in women’s futsal, a silver medal in men’s quadruple running, a bronze medal in men’s futsal, and two bronze medals in badminton.
Mr. Wannarat said that on this occasion, he wished for all athletes to train themselves and perform various useful activities to gain skills and experience to apply knowledge in life happily and be part of the power in driving and developing Thailand’s economy to continue to prosper.
