วันที่ 10 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน และนายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน มอบหมายให้ นายเดชา พฤกษ์พัฒนรักษ์ รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน และคณะผู้แทนจากกระทรวงแรงงาน เข้าร่วมการประชุมระดับรัฐมนตรี Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD) ครั้งที่ 7 และการประชุม World Government Summit ประจำปี ค.ศ. 2024 ระหว่างวันที่ 10 – 14 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 ณ เมืองดูไบ สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์
โดยกรอบความร่วมมือ Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD) เริ่มก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2551 ซึ่งเป็นเวทีการหารือระหว่างประเทศสมาชิกกระบวนการโคลัมโบ ซึ่งประกอบด้วยประเทศผู้ส่งแรงงาน และประเทศผู้รับแรงงาน ซึ่งการประชุมฯ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาและแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ความเข้าใจในด้านแนวโน้มตลาดแรงงาน การพัฒนาทักษะฝีมือแรงงาน การเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะให้สอดรับกับของความต้องการแรงงาน รวมถึงส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางวิชาการเพื่อยกระดับและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตและความเป็นอยู่ของแรงงาน เพื่อให้การเคลื่อนย้ายแรงงานเป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ และเกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด
สำหรับการประชุมระดับรัฐมนตรี Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD) ครั้งที่ 7 จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 10 – 11 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 ณ โรงแรม Intercontinental Dubai Festival City เมืองดูไบ สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ โดยมีประธานการประชุม คือ ประเทศปากีสถาน และเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุม คือ สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ ซึ่งการประชุมในวันแรก ประกอบด้วย การประชุมระดับเจ้าหน้าที่อาวุโส Abu Dhabi Dialogue การนำเสนอรายงานผลการดำเนินงานของประธานการประชุมโดยรัฐบาลประเทศปากีสถาน และการหารือร่วมกันในหัวข้อต่าง ๆ ได้แก่ (1) การยกระดับเทคโนโลยีเพื่อเสริมสร้างศักยภาพของประเทศสมาชิกในการบริหารจัดการตลาดแรงงาน และการคุ้มครองสวัสดิการแรงงานข้ามชาติ (2) การส่งเสริมและยกระดับการเคลื่อนย้ายแรงงานทักษะระหว่างประเทศผู้รับและผู้ส่งแรงงาน เพื่อสอดรับกับโลกอนาคตของงาน และ (3) การบูรณาการประเด็นความเท่าเทียมทางเพศในนโยบายส่งเสริมการจ้างงานของประเทศสมาชิก Abu Dhabi Dialogue
On February 10, 2024, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, and the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Phairoj Chotikasatian assigned the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Decha Pruekphathanara and a delegation of representatives from the Ministry of Labour to join the 7th Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD) and World Government Summit 2024, from February 10 to 14, 2024, in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
The Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD) framework was established in 2008 and is a forum for discussion between the Colombo Process member countries, which includes labour sending and labour recipient countries. The meeting’s objectives are to develop and exchange knowledge and understanding of labour market trends, skill development, strengthening competencies to meet labour needs, and promoting academic cooperation to enhance and develop the quality of life and livelihood of workers, ensuring efficient labour movement and the utmost benefit.
The 7th Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD) was held on February 10 to 11, 2024, at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City Hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The chairman of the meeting was Pakistan, and the host of the conference was the United Arab Emirates. The first day of the meeting consisted of a senior official meeting, the Abu Dhabi Dialogue, a presentation of a report on the performance of the meeting chair by the Government of Pakistan, and joint discussions on various topics, including (1) Upgrading technology to strengthen the potential of member countries in labour market management, and protecting the welfare of migrant workers. (2) Promoting and enhancing the movement of skilled labour between receiving and sending countries to align with the future world of work, and (3) Integrating gender equality issues into employment promotion policies of Abu Dhabi Dialogue member countries.
